Stempel auf Pakke-Porto: Avane + CTO

Very common are fiscal cancels. They come from a saving system started in 1926. Pakke-Porto were glued into a special booklet to make a savingbook. The stamps were invaluated when the money was withdrawn. This was done with the Avane-cancels ( number cancels ), but rather often also with the town cancel. Some cancels that look like town cancels have actually never been used for postal purposes. Over 99% of 20 Øre used in northern Greenland were used in the Avane-system.
